Because we had so many technical difficulties last time we are resorting to “Plan B”
To be on a podcast you will need to
1. Download Skype
2. DownloadAudacity
3. Download LAME Mp3 Encoder (Right click on “libmp3lame-win-3.98.2.zip “ and save
4. Unzip the encoder (remember where it unzips to)
5. Record a test file in Audacity
6. Go to “Export as Mp3” A window will pop up asking you to find that file we just unzipped
7. Go to that file and open it. You should now be able to export files as Mp3
TO RECORD A PODCAST
1. Open Skype. Sign in.
2. Wait for Kameron to call you.
3. Answer the call
4. Start Recording in Audacity (blue lines should move indicating it is recording)
5. Sync up conversations (We will count in unison so I know where to match up the separate files)
6. Record Podcast as normal
7. Save File in Audacity (Save Project As)
8. Export as Mp3 (Save as VOTH then the episode number, then your name e.g. “VOTH4KAM”
9. Go to www.filemonster.net
10. Sign in USERNAME: heretics Password: acts24
11. Click on “Home”
12. Browse for the Mp3 File you just saved
13. Type in your file name e.g. “VOTH4KAM” Into the meaningful file description
14. Click on “I accept Terms of Service” On the bottom of the page
15. Click “Host It”
Then I will take all the files, sync them up and edit them normally! I know it’s a lot of work but it gets easier. Plus the audio will sound a lot better (in theory).

Well on Sunday morning Stephanie, Brandon and I did our first podcast. It took some editing and tweaking but we did it! We basically tell our stories about how we got out. I'm sure this is only the beginning. I apologize for the lack of polish but I'm cheap and we don't know what we're doing.

We were accepted into iTunes and should be visible in a day or two. It can be accessed by going to http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=325492202
I have also figured out how to make low bandwidth versions. They will be available directly from this website since they are smaller and I can upload them without a problem. I also made a logo for iTunes. Hope you like it!

I found a host for the Podcast. It looks like it hosts it and gives it a nice little page that reminds me of a blog format.
My current hosting provider has a 50 MB cap on files so I had to split the podcast up, but with this i can make it longer.
I also submitted it to iTunes so that's exciting. To visit the Podcast host site go to www.voth.mypodcast.com
I'll also be putting a link directly on this page as well. Let me know if you notice anything that needs fixin'. I don't always catch mistakes.

PODCAST UPDATE!
Things are falling together, albeit randomly. We still have yet to try one, but we are getting closer. The plan is Sunday July 26th a few of us will get together on a skype call. I (Kameron) will host it under the Skype name "Kam Messmer" After we nail down a good time i will add everyone to the conference call. If you don't have me added to skype, do it now! If you don't have skype yet Download it yesterday! (www.skype.com) As a plan A I will be recording the Skype conference call on MP3 Skype Recorder (http://voipcallrecording.com/skyperecorderhelp183/). As a plan B I need everyone who is interested to download Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) This is a program that will record each persons side of the conversation seperatly. After the recording is done, everyone will send their file to me, i will sync it up and export it as one mp3 file. Hopefully if the skype recording isn't up to snuff, the audacity will be better. If neither plans work i'll have to go back to the drawing board.
